Because of These Hard Things

Believe it or not, I shouldn’t even be standing here right now. /></font></font></span>pregnant with me the doctors told my parents that there was no chance at all that I would be born alive.<span style=  But God performed a miracle so here I am today. 

 

Hello, my name is Devynne Leigh Phelps, I’m 14 years old, and my family has lived in

Medford my entire life.Portland, Oregon , at

Oregon Health Science University .

Portland where they are better equipped to help babies.  My sister, Lindsey, died a month later when she had her surgery. 

 

I trusted Jesus as my Savior when I was 4 years old, and I have learned to trust God with my life, as I have gone through many more heart surgeries.  Romans has taught me this as well.“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

My dad, Brian, recently became one of the pastors at

Bear Creek Church , and he and my mom, Jennifer, have been married for 20 years.  I went to

Grace Christian School through the second grade, and Brenna and I have been home-schooled ever since. I have a beagle named Piper, and I love horses.  One day I would like to live in the country where I can have room for lots of animals, especially horses.  I really look up to how Jason and Julianne Hulce courted before they got married. -->
